I bought a car from Impact Auto Auctions. The car was listed as a consignment and mentioned that the CAT was missing. Hence, there was an engine light on. Once we started the vehicle, the car started jerking and driving weird. When we took it to our mechanic, he mentioned the CAT was there, but the head gasket was blown. So the engine light was there because the car needed a new engine. Our estimated repair went from $600-$1,000 for a new CAT to almost $3,000 for a new engine. The consignor did the bare-bone minimum in describing the car as having "Possible Mechanical Issues" while also listing it as "Runs and Drives." We would expect a bit more transparency with cars being sold as a consignment sale through Impact Auto Auctions. Being a reputable store that Logel's Auto Parts is by displaying their professionalism and customer care through their reviews and website, they definitely did not show these traits from the experience and transaction we had with them.
I requested an offer on my 11 year old car after hours on a Friday night. Received an immediate reply from Robert that he would send me an offer Monday morning. By 10:00 am. the deal was done. The offer was reasonable. I dropped off the car and picked up the cheque at my convenience.
Robert (the buyer from Logel) offered reasonable price from the very beginning thus there was no back-n-forth negotiation. He is very knowledgeable and patient for all my questions. I think he is trustworthy.
