I have been renting a storage unit here for over a year now but it has become ridiculous at how consistently inconsistent the staff is at the information they provide. At this point it is worth is packing and taking business to another facility. Owners/ Managers should certainly take some time to train and on board all employees to ensure consistency.
Horrible experience...rented a 26' truck for 48hrs over the phone from this location, rec'vd confirmation email...then was told about 1 month before we need it that it's not available for more than 10 hours!! How exactly do we move a 4 bedroom house in 10 hours (overnight)?!! Oh but they offered us a 9' van instead....wow. Why bother booking in advance if they just change it anyways?!! Manager didn't want to help at all, just kept saying it's policy. Will NEVER use this company or location.
So far everything has been great! I believe it was the manager who helped me set up the storage unit, she was kind and very helpful. No issues whatsoever, and it's exactly what I need in a convenient location on Fairway Road. Security seems great and I feel confident that my belongings are safe.The negative comments on here that are not responded to by the owner is a bit concerning, but my experience has been very good.
I worked here for nearly two years and I can honestly say that any negative comments on here are not the direct fault of the staff or managers at this location. Fairway is run by one of the best managers I have ever met - she tries her hardest to help customers and encourages staff to do the same. Fairway is by far the best uhaul in the area! Treat them with respect and you'll get nothing but respect (and probably some jokes) back!
Appreciate the storage service, I've rented a unit there for nearly a year. recently I've found the customer service has gone far downhill. The last few times I've dealt with staff here they're typically condescending and make you feel as if you're bothering them for asking for any assistance, even when you find a lock on your unit that is fully paid up. I've found I feel like I'm interrupting them when asking a question. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect friendly service when they charge you what they do. Most recently i went in and realized when I got there I had left my key card in my girlfriends car and couldn't get it tonight. it was a few minutes to closing, which I realize can be annoying for staff as I've worked my fair share of customer service. However I explained that I really needed to get in tonight and would only need them to stay for a few minutes. I was shrugged off. I realize it's not their problem that I was in a jam but it would have really showed me some appreciation for the large amount of money I've spent here if they would have been willing to give me 3 minutes of their time. I now have to wait until morning which will make me late for work. I understand it was my mistake that put me in this situation but it would have been really easy for them to help me out. I would certainly have been willing to offer a few minutes of my time to help someone out of a jam. The first experience I had here, last December was, fantastic. I wish I knew the girls name who helped us out because she was fantastic. i was a brand new customer and she helped us hook up a trailer we rented as well as introduced us to our unit and showed us around. We were running late getting the trailer returned that night and our key card didn't work right away but she stayed fifteen minutes late on her own time to help us out with a smile on her face and when I apologized for holding her up she just said that they appreciate our business. Haven't seen this girl here since but they could benefit from more people like her.
