If you honestly care about your pet, please do not take them here. I do not know how Dr. Walia has a license to practice veterinary medicine. I left almost every appointment upset due to his unprofessional attitude and many unanswered questions. He was indirect and vague with anything he told me pertaining to my cat, and seemed to lack knowledge about feline health. My cat has since received the help he needed from another fantastic vet, has recovered, and is doing extremely well. I am thankful that I left when I did, because my cat may not have received the much needed care that he required.

Excellent service! Dr.Walia is very kind and knowledgeable.I would recommend him to everyone.

Well, my little Tipsy gave me the scare of a lifetime.. but one amazing Vet, one amazing Vet tech, $510 (which, if you don't know is extremely reasonable) for exam, x-rays, sedation, surgery, and meds and we think she is gunna be quite alright. She's one tough little peanut, so here's to another 11 years by my side.

The only reason this clinic is receiving one star is that the system does not allow for zero or negative stars. Avoid this clinic at all costs. The 'Doctor' is a scam artist that is more interested in billing you for tests, regardless of what history has been sent to him by your previous vet clinic, and getting you you sign off on hand scribbled pieces of paper as a prerequisite to getting treatment. I took my cat to this clinic in an emergency as I could not get into my regular clinic. My cat was anemic, lethargic, and had spent the night vomiting and having diarrhea. Even with the clinical notes from my regular vet, we had to sign off on $800.00 worth of tests that are all outsourced (even though they promote an in-house lab) and gave him an shot of an antibiotic. Lab tests come back within 24-48 hours and he says that my cat has feline Leukemia virus and that further tests are necessary at the University of Guelph...and still did not give even an interim course of treatment, insisting that he could not do anything until the UofG tests came back. If I wanted to put him on steroids I'd have to sign off on it. Zero bottom line course of action. He even optioned up euthanasia given that my cat is 16 and he would do it if I gave the go-ahead. There is zero bedside manner with this guy. When the tests came back he's more interested in giving you verbose clinical test results than bottom line information with treatment options, and had a copy of clinical text books open while regurgitating via hand writing the test results from the computer. A vet is supposed to translate lab-speak into a lay-person course of action. He's a glorified lab technician.I got my cat into the regular vet yesterday and my regular vet indicated hat the tests done at the Strasburg 'Animal Hospital' were completely useless, as was the antibiotic shot my cat received, as it's well documented in the clinical notes that my cat has a history of an autoimmune virus. It does not mean that his current ailment is a result of an active virus. As a matter of fact he was having a flare-up of IBD (he has a history) and couldn't keep food down, and as a result was anemic. One shot of B12 and now a week of Prednisone is all that was prescribed. Cat is already on the mend. A far cry from euthanasia. This 'Vet' was not cooperative at all when confronting him about these issues and my request for a refund. He spent most of the conversation speaking over me...which speaks volumes about Customer Service...zero. Just kept saying...but you signed off! Quack.

This guy truly loves & cares for the animals that come in. Dr Walia is foreign, so some people may take him the wrong way but I've brought ALL TYPES of numerous animals to his clinic and he has treated them with the upmost care. Such a reasonable guy, he cares more about the health of the pet than the dollar value attached to it. I would recommend him highly to anyone in the area.
