I work in customer service and I can always appreciate when someone does a great job, especially in retail, so I just wanted to mention that I was helped by Vincent (got his name from the receipt) and he was great. All I did was a purchase but he was very kind and approachable and I appreciate that kind of service. There was another lady at the registers talking to me, I didn’t get her name unfortunately but she was also super sweet. The holidays can be very overwhelming so I appreciate the positivity! Keep it up guys :) I also come here to get my skates sharpened and they always do a great job and it’s cheap.
No point to going into the store. They have virtually no stock of anything, especially shoes. Ive gone three separete times expecting something different, I have never successfully purchases something here, told to go elsewhere everytime.
Ordered shoes online from this location and they cancelled it, I called and they said they didnt have the product which they claimed to have on the website… no compensation. I proceeded to go in-store and find something similar because I had a gift card and explained the situation… I went to pay (but I threw my gift card out when I *bought* the shoes online) and I showed the store clerk the receipt and refund but I didn’t have my gift card and rather than apply the difference of the gift card or even give a discount they wanted to charge full. In the end I went back home, went through my garbage to find the gift card and returned to the store. I will never go back to any sportchek given this quality of service and accepting payment without being able to fulfill or compensate for time wasted and lying. I unfortunately was forced to due to having a gift-card.
Coming back to give 5 stars again. Just great staff and manager. Always able to assist when I need it, and manager helped me utilize my app to the best of its capability to save more in the future.
Apparently, when online it says there is one available item at the store and you drive there it actually means they are out of stock and haven't updated their system.
I have visited this location several times, unfortunately they have never been great in terms of customer service. The store itself is always clean and well kept, but sadly the customer service is not up to par with some other locations. This particular visit was for shoes, and after looking online prior to going it showed they stocked a certain brand and had a particular one and size we were looking for. After waiting for sometime before we managed to find someone, she seemed very uninformed of what stock they had or offered other suggestions. We were told they only stock this brand if they get returns... seems odd they would have some on display if they only have them as returns. Instead of offering to check other stores for that shoe and size she just walked away, then as we were leaving she said try somewhere else they probably have more... We did and now we know to just stick with the Conestoga Mall location where they seem to have enough staff and they are interested in helping!
Nice employees. Store is nice looking and well maintained. The store is smaller than other sportchek usually so I feel like selection might be smaller as well. Sportchek in general has good return policy which is always a welcome in retail stores.
