Beautiful venue for a wedding, but not a massive dancefloor. Food was great, and staff was very friendly. Didn't stay overnight but the hotel rooms have a unique, trendy decor style which is really interesting. It got chilly in the ballroom for a while, so the AC is definitely powerful. Overall a nice experience.
Classy, elegant hotel situated right in downtown Kitchener. Beautifully maintained. Room, halls and lobby were all exceptionally clean and artfully decorated. Was about $150 including tax for a King bed room on a weeknight. Had a chic-NYC vibe. Wife and I were very impressed. Gelato, restaurants, pharmacy and some good breakfast spots located within walking distance. Parked in a garage a block away. Highly recommended.

I had such a wonderful stay at the Walper. I had not been since before the recent renovations, but I was so impressed at how gorgeous the room was. Very modern and vibrant, while paying homage to the history of the building. The staff were very accommodating as well. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting KW (or even those who live in the city looking for a staycation!).
Such a charming hotel!! The bed is firm with a soft pillow top liner, the sheets and comforter are light and airy. The smell of the room reminded me of a fresh rain. It was very inviting. The bathroom was modern with a rain shower head and marble finishes. They provide bath gel, shampoo, and conditioner in the bathroom in dispensers so you done have to ask for annoying little bottles when you run out. The coffee service was neat but the coffee was a little weak for my taste (I like dark roast). The staff was friendly and accommodating and the food in the basement restaurant was killer. I was impressed with how light and airy the space was considering it was in a basement. They also offered acoustic singers who were fantastic!
