Amazing customer service with knowledge staff. I bought a pair of high end boots, knowing there would be an adaptation/break in period. After a long time tweeking & trying to get them to work for me I was frustrated. Their care, effort & understanding was nothing short of spectacular. They happily got me sorted in a new pair of atomics that seem to be beautiful so far. It wasn’t anything to do with the product. It was the service… and it was absolutely stellar
I want to like Select Sports, but the tuning costs here are in some cases twice what competitors like Corbetts and Paramount in Guelph charge. 95$ to mount bindings here vs ~50$ at Paramount. UPDATE: there was an issue with my binding mount that caused pre-releases. The forward pressure on one of my back bindings was not set correctly. I let select sports know and they issued a full refund. I do appreciate accepting when a technician makes a mistake. Still not sure id bring my skis here for a tune…
Thank you to Jay, Suzanne and everyone who helped us the last few weeks, and over the years past. We have used Select Sports for many years but most recently they helped us get set up (even with a last minute gear change) for the ski/boarding trip of a lifetime. Spending some time this last week checking out some amazing gear shops in Colorado and I would I still chose Select - they have all the gear we could ever need, their staff had the expertise and they always take the time to ensure we are set up properly for the most safe and enjoyable season. We are fortunate to have such a comprehensive shop in KW!
I chose Select based on the reviews and was not disappointed. Extremely friendly staff across the entire shop. Knowledgable on gear and low/no pressure environment. Jay spent a ton of time walking me through options and when I settled on boots, Rob worked his magic so they now fit like a glove. I’ll be back with the rest of the family, this season, and next!
I am glad that we have Select Sports in Kitchener. I have been suffering from numbness due to my high instep, and I decide to deal with it this year. Jay helped me alleviate my pain with various suggestions. He is incredibly friendly, patient and knowledgeable, and explained everything to me. It doesn't get rid of the numbness completely, but it has been a huge improvement, and Jay has some other methods that we haven't tried yet due to time constraint. Definitely top 1 ski shop in KW area, thanks a lot for your help!
We left a pair of kids ski boots there on consignment that were in decent shape (used about 6 times by a 4 year old).. We followed up at the end of the first season and they had not sold so they said they would put them for sale the next season. We just checked at the end of the 2nd season and were told they threw them out since they did not sell. No phone call to inform us they were about to dispose of them. Brutal. We would of been happy to have picked them up so they could have been donated instead of adding to a landfill - or perhaps Select Sports could be affiliated with an organization assisting those in need. Obviously not a company with any environmental or ethical compass - so sad in this day and age.
