It's difficult to rate a hospital because the reason for visiting is usually not positive. I can say that this hospital suffers from the same unreasonably lengthy wait times in the ER as the other hospitals in Waterloo Region. However, the nurses, doctors, and staff at St. Mary's are always very friendly and helpful, particularly towards children. The volunteers here are incredible and the hospital simply couldn't function properly without them. I certainly hope they get the recognition they deserve.

While better than Grand River Hospital expect to wait here a long time too. Then you get to play the doctor lottery game. Depending on what doctor you get will decide what gets done. There are some doctors that are totally useless and do nothing. I was actually sent home once with only basic blood work. Others are more caring and will do a decent amount of tests and take a detailed history. Honestly it can go either way. The cardiologist I saw here was very disappointing and brushed off my symptoms with little care.

my dad had a massive heart attack and had to have an EIGHT bypass surgery and the nurses were phenomenal. I'm grateful to them and the awesome surgeons who saved my dad's life so he could continue being my dad and a grandfather to his grandchildren. best hospital ever. thank you to all who helped Jacob Dyck, (my dad), from me and my siblings. keep up the great work you do!

This hospital has one of the worse standards in Ontario when is about ER. If you go to the ER here get ready your passions, the waiting time is ridiculously long. The nurses here are well trainee to come with all the excuses in the world about the doctor is not being available. ER floors are taped, the TVs are from the late 90s. Probably this people did NOT ever report or complain to the province of Ontario that their hospital is closed to the lowest standers. The taxpayers in Kitchener deserve better health care. Politicians to consider to invest more money in our health care. This problem is on since I first got here in 1994. No changes for people in Kitchener.

i've been to both major hospitals in the area and i'm sure they both have good and bad days. St Mary's, however I've never seen a bad day. Been there 8 times in the ER and without fail the service caring and dedication to helping those who are in need is over the top. If I could I would have given them 1000 stars. never waited very long to be seen and the staff is very very good at keeping you calm during the visit.
