John, the manager of the Microplay store in Kitchener, always goes above and beyond for any electronic or video game question, product(s), suggestions on games, consoles anything like that m. I always go to John and his team, there's no point in going online or looking for other deals because they are a one-stop shop. I'm at John approximately 4 and a half years ago, he truly takes his job very seriously; he's talking about and I'm not joking when I say that I have no hesitation, no doubt, almost no question that I count of his advicefor my Family's and I's entertainment needs. It's rare that I meet someone that ALWAYS gives exceptional service and he can't help himself to NOT go above and beyond in giving exceptional customer service. I wanted to take a moment and share this with anyone who's wondering or considering visiting with John and his staff; I have to share that you will not lose. Just purchased 2 used joy cons today and an older Wii game and had a great experience with the two people that helped me. They were very knowledgeable and were ready to answer my questions. This store is full of cool games and stuff I’d forgotten about from my childhood. I will be sure to comeback often.
I came to this location because I wanted to support a local Canadian business—and I’m glad I did. I found exactly what I was looking for, and the experience was great from start to finish. I highly recommend buying your video games here instead of ordering from Amazon or shopping at big box stores. Great selection of retro home consoles in any condition for a reasonable price. They have a large selection of 3DS, DS, and Wii games. They also have merchandise, and more. It's GameStop but with games from the switch 2 all the way to NES.
They saved my family from losing thousands of hours of saved game data when we bought our Nintendo switch 2 and traded in our original switch, by going out of their way to call me after I’d left the store to let me know that if I brought the new console in that they could help me transfer it. We would have been devastated to fire up the new console and find out we had lost everything. They always treat my 9 year old son so well in the store and give great advice on purchases instead of just pushing the most expensive option. If you live in the KW area you need to go to this store for any gaming stuff. They also have a great selection of used amiibo’s, oldschool games and other memorabilia. You’ll never get this level of service from any other game store!
The store had good selections. I haven't been here in a long time and they have changed quite a bit. The prices and deals were reasonable. The layout of the store was great. The smell was no so great. The carpets smelled bad and as soon as I walked in, it smelled like cigarettes and cat pee. I didn't stay very long because of that.
Microplay offers amazing customer service! Whether with my little daughter or alone, I always feel welcome. Jon is super professional and ready to help. The friendly vibe he brings adds to the positive atmosphere. It's a great store with a good selection of games, collectibles, and other little things. I highly recommend it.
