I am writing to express my heartfelt appreciation to the ladies in the office at the Kitchener and London locations for their exceptional assistance throughout my AZ training. OTDS is undoubtedly one of the premier training schools available, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking licensing. Prioritizing quality training is essential, as undercutting can have detrimental consequences. I also appreciate the guidance from the gentlemen in the yard, whose expertise and wisdom were truly invaluable. Obtaining a commercial driver's license requires unwavering dedication and perseverance, as it is a challenging endeavor. Thank you again to the entire OTDS team.
Let me start off by saying the actual course was very informative and engaging! The one area for improvement I noted was there was no actual "in cab" or in truck training / exposure prior to the exam (which is difficult and uncomfortable for anyone who has never sat foot in a transport truck before) so that was my only recommendation for the course improvement. But otherwise a very decent course in itself. One hiccup though... I had completed my Z endorsement course and final exams through OTDS through the CTSA... or so I thought.... I passed my exams and recieved my MTO paper confirming this, but was told 3 days later that they had given the wrong practical (circle / air brake hands on) exam and I would have to come back in on my own time to redo the correct practical exam and that my results prior were invalid / void due to a "mistake on their end" even after passing and proving my knowledge. I totally understand things happen, but it leaves a bad taste in regards to the course I paid almost $500 for from a professional company / authority (CTSA) who has been doing these courses and exams for "many years" and an instructor who has been doing it for "a very long time". Unfortunatley resulting in a VERY disappointing end to an otherwise great and informative course! UPDATE: They corrected the issue after re-testing, and were very apologetic and ensured everything was to my satisfaction following the error :) Updated to 4 stars
Took the weekend air break course. All I have to say is if you have Scott, you are going to have a great time! He took a dull course on paper and filled it with his experiences on the road and gave advice and tips to help along the way. OTDS has a great team, and I only have positive things to say about the office staff and Scott as an instructor! Thank you
This school is worth every penny spent, you will not be disappointed in any way. The instructors are so knowledgeable and helpful for teaching you all the right skills needed. So glad I went with a good school!!
Just finished the course and did my road test. Trainers and teachers are very good and knowledgeable. Yard trainers had helpful tips to make it easier to pass the road test. It’s a good choice to go to OTDS for any training needs.
I went to kitchener OTDS for my DZ commercial licence and have nothing but great comments about the staff! All the way from Jackie helping me with all scheduling from my training to my road test with always having a big smile, she was always quick to reply and make changes to adapt to the rapidly changing year we've all experienced. My instructors Todd, Kevin and Steve were top notch and would not of chosen anyone else to show me how to properly inspect and operate. They go above and beyond to ensure you have the skills needed to pass the test and more importantly be a competent driver for the rest of your life. I would recommend this place to anyone looking at becoming a AZ or DZ driver.
Hands down the best driving school if you are interested in getting your AZ or DZ licence. Jackie, Todd, Steve, Kevin, Issac, and Ali, are all wonderful people to work with. Nothing but encouragement and help from the very beginning. They make it very easy to learn and tailor each class/session to help each student as much as they possibly can. Would strongly recommend them to anyone I know that wants to get into Commercial driving.
