One employee was super nice and help out huge. The rest made me feel stupid for not knowing what the style name of a type of shoe was, or like i was a giant inconvenience if i needed a shoe pulled from the back. tried making small talk and got just rude one word replies. Was like conversing with a 14year old you just grounded lol. Was so bad, it completely cancelled out the 1 great employee and i went somewhere else knowing id pay more but i wasnt giving this store a penny after being treated that way.
Worst customer service! I went in to Fairview Softmoc to purchase replacement Birkie's since I wear the Birkie clog indoors and have since I broke my ankle 5 years ago. My surgeon suggested it would be the best shoe to wear indoors. I asked about the Birkies and was told by the first sales person that Softmoc didn't even carry Birkies. I informed her that they did. (Strike one, lack of knowledge of which shoe lines your store actually carries). Then a second "customer service" person came, informed me that they didn't have them at that location but they could get them for me so what's my shoe size? This sounds innocent but since I bought the first pair my shoe size has changed due to healing from soft tissue damage incurred when I broke my ankle. I said I didn't know what my current size would be in that brand but if she measured my feet she would be able to find out. Now this was the most disturbing thing. She said "We can't measure adult feet here because we don't have a foot measuring device". PARDON ME? You sell shoes but you lack the most basic of tools to be able to do your job properly and inform people of what size their foot might be and be able to suggest other possibilites? IN FACT you lack THE MOST BASIC device to shoe sales ever? SERIOUSLY? How utterly incompent must the head office and district managers be to not address and have brought in replacements? Obviously training their staff in basic customer service and providing the tools to do so are not a priority at this location. I was informed I could drive to Contestoga Mall which is more than halfway across the city, waste my gas to do so because this location doesn't see customer service as a priority. BEYOND disgusted and disappointed about this.
Super friendly people working there, they were a great help. I got the best sandals I've ever had!
