I've been going to this location since before the plaza was renovated and always had a great experience. Sure you can get much of ths media online but I think this is better. And if it weren't businesses like this, we'd have fallen faster into digital hell where you own nothing.
Great experience yesterday! Walked in to just browse and see what movies were available. The 2 guys working were so friendly and helpful! They asked if we were looking for anything in particular and I remembered a movie I've been searching for unsuccessfully. He immediately looked it up in their system and found it in 2 stores, offered to call the store to hold it for me without missing a beat! I was so grateful! Terrific customer service.
Very friendly and helpful staff. I got great advice about Bose CD player. Store has a great selction of cd's and I will be back there to look for cd;s.
I've had a wish list for years and love being able to get dvds of any movie so long as I have patience! Its also cool to be able to sell different things for a store credit.
As a Service Dog owner, it’s my job to minimize discomfort to others. I try to make appointments, go shopping at non-peak hours, and keep my pup under control and not underfoot while doing so. I called ahead, aiming for a curbside pickup or at least to know if the store had what I needed. The phone rang. And rang. And rang… No answer, no voicemail - despite several attempts. As a business, how do you meet your customer’s needs if you don’t pick up the phone? Thumbs down for customer service on such a primary level. I won’t bother again.
After several years of not being a customer (due to some management confusion?) I'm back to trading at BGO. They've been around for decades at many locations in south central Ontario. The stores all have a good selection of used music disks (cd and vinyl), video discs and used gaming items. It's worth checking out if you are looking for a used, physical copy of music or video.
For buying used movies/games, it’s decent. For selling/trading… it’s terrible. Purchased a $35 game, was unable to get it to work. I lost receipt so I knew I’d only get trade for it. Brought it back with a stack of used games and some movies… I received $15 trade value for everything.
