I went to this dealership to look at a 2019 Equinox that was listed on Marketplace at 17, 995 with 127 KM. My son noticed upon starting the vehicle that there was a tick in the engine. He also looked underneath the vehicle and noticed the rear differential was leaking as well as bolts on the exhaust were rusted through and a small hole in the muffler. We were dealing with Vlad and mentioned these things to him. He said the vehicle had not been in for a safety yet and whatever the vehicle needed for the safety would be fixed. He also mentioned that he had made a "boo boo" when he listed the vehicle on Marketplace and the vehicle was suppose to be listed for 18, 995. He told us what a great deal we would be getting on this vehicle at the expense of his mistake. Vlad's manger came over and spoke with us reiterating the "boo boo" Vlad had made and that they would honor the price of 17, 995 for me as that was the price in the ad I had responded to. I spoke to Vlad the next morning and told him I was very interested but concerned about the ticking in the engine and the exhaust. He told me I could come in and leave a $500 deposit and we would talk to his manager about making the deposit conditional on them making repairs to the exhaust and lifters as well as anything it may need for a safety. I went in to talk with them that evening along with the deposit. We took the vehicle for another test drive and my son inspected it some more. While he was looking around the engine bay he found a mouse nest and asked how long the car had been sitting for. Vlad said he wasn't sure if the owners had it stored but that the dealer had just received the vehicle. We went inside to discuss the details and when we started taking about price Vlad became very defensive when my son said he thought they were asking a little too much for the vehicle. My son mentioned that he thought the whole pricing it wrong in the ad on Marketplace was intentional. Vlad then abruptly said "I don't want your business!" At that point we got up and walked out. Funny that the vehicle is still listed on Marketplace for 17, 995 two days later. So I suppose it wasn't really a "boo boo" as they said, it is a gimmick to make you think you are getting an amazing deal of $1000 off the price right off the hop!!! **update** Vlad has changed the price on Marketplace to 18, 995
