I ordered a pizza for pick up about 40 minutes before they closed on a slow night. From the moment the phone was picked up until I was out the door it was obvious they didn't want my business. As I left the building and turned to tell one of the guys closing to have a nice evening, he pulled the door closed between us. No reply, just a cold look and a door closed and locked in my face. I get that you want to go home and it's late but as someone in a similar position, that's our job. The pizza was alright, I don't think it was cooked for long enough because they wanted to close. Ive heard decent things about the food during early hours, so maybe give it a shot at that time. I would stay away late in the evening. I won't be returning, though its clear other people have had positive experiences here. I guess it's a roll of the dice.
Pepi's is truly a local gem that everyone should experience at least once. Their pizza is unique from basically any other local brand. Crust is thin, crispy, and strong enough to hold the mountain of toppings they put on. Sauce is sweet and a bit tangy. My too suggested pizzas are bacon, green pepper, mushroom and then bruchetta tomatoes, black olives, feta cheese.
This is the absolute best pizza place in KW. Their subs rock too, especially the munchie sub. Great hours too. My out of town friends that went to university here specifically seek out Pepi's any time they come back to the area. Simply legendary.
Amazing pizza - the crust is so good and they don't skimp on toppings. They also use whole fresh toppings, none of that gross frozen food quality 'bacon.' The subs here are also SO GOOD but they keep upping the price. Last time I was there, this week, they charged me $10 even for a classic sub ($8.75) which actually comes to $9.89 after tax. I didn't say anything but that's not okay to overcharge customers. However, I will continue to go/order because it's really delicious, and you should too!
Best pizza in Kitchener, hands down. Fresh ingredients, excellent t sauce, perfect crust and fast service combine to make this my go to place for pizza in the KW area. If you like pizza, you owe it to yourself to try these guys out.
