Huge place! Lots of tables for WarHammer and long tables for anything else you want to play! I get a boatload of singles and packs for MTG here. Also I do not play/collect, but there paint/supplies for Warhammer are vast.
Went from a local card store to a local scalper store. They make excuses of the tariffs and distribution prices, but after talking to ethical store owners I know it’s all bs.
One of the best trading card stores in town with a wide selection of products. Minako was super friendly and helped me find what I needed efficiently! 10/10 would recommend to other TCG enthusiasts!
Staff was super kind and let me work on painting my Tyranid at one of the tables before their MTG event started. They even checked on me to see how I was doing! I would have gone to the Warhammer store over at Fairview, but I forgot they were not open on Tuesdays. Chimera is now my go-to place for spontaneous painting sessions.
Have been to the store a few times, have even purchased a few cards from them and recently learned they also buy cards so I decided to visit today hoping to trade in cards for either cash or credit depending on the offer. Instead, when I got in the first person I spoke to haphazardly provided me information then just walked away from me. Could not have been any less interested in assisting me. After that, I was left standing at the counter for a few minutes until someone came up and asked if I needed assistance. I proceeded to re-explain why I was in today which was then met with a 5 minute explanation about how cards being traded need to be near mint otherwise they probably wouldn't be buying them, had to be "front of binder" cards. How they would need to use multiple websites to look up prices and that the entire process would be VERY time consuming (this was heavily stressed). After mentioning how time consuming it would be a few more times he reassured me by telling me "but we would do it as its our job". I can understand that im sure your store sees plenty of customer's looking to trade in cards, some of them in significantly worse condition than others and im sure it is a pain but talk about making someone feel unwelcomed. Got a very heavy vibe that if I was going to make them put in ALL this effort to price my cards I better want to sell them. Very poor experience personally.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Helped a clueless dad with what I should buy for my son who's just starting out. Took the time to be very welcoming and answered all my questions
Couldn’t ask for a better shop for my TCG needs. Amazing staff that are always so helpful and kind. I’ve walked in a few times with my son and had so much fun talking to others about our shared interests. Such an amazing community to be apart of and thank you Chimera for giving us that much needed space for us to share and build our knowledge to this ever growing and sometimes overwhelming hobby.
